35 year old from Brisbane, Australia
Have been taking photography as a serious hobby for over eight years now. I am learning as I go and still looking for new and interesting things to shoot!

Currently back in Brisbane with my wife, after spending 3 months in Europe and 9 months in New Zealand.

Femke and Matt : Femke and I were married on Friday the 9th of September, 2011. Both the ceremony and the reception were held at the Toowong Rowing Club on the edge of the University of Queensland campus. It was an absolutely perfect day, where everything went smoothly and the food, cake, flowers and decorations were done to perfection! Snowy Landscapes : I went with a drive with Auke to see the frosty trees on the outskirts of Waalwijk. This is a reasonably rare sight so I was really glad to have caught it! I used a circular polariser for all these shots to darken the sky and bring out the frost and snow. These came out rather well!

Whale Watching 2011 : On the 6th of September, a few days before my wedding, we all (Me, Femke, Marijke, Auke and Mark) went whale watching in Moreton Bay. The day was good, but the seas were very choppy. Most people on board were sick including all of the Breeuwsma's. :( I was able to take a lot of photos after borrowing a 100-400mm L lense from Gavin. Thanks mate! In the afternoon, the whales did a lot of breeching so I was able to get a lot of shots!

Cradle Mountain Honeymoon : After our wonderful wedding, we headed off to Cradle Mountain Lodge in Tasmania. (located here) The weather was the best on the first and last days and it was very cold and wet and windy for a lot of the time. The resort itself was excellent and the cabins were well stocked and great for relaxation. We saw plenty of wild animals and did lots of nature walks around the national park and resort itself.
